BootBrandon.com is an independent citizen project with a clear point of view: Chicago should not give Mayor Brandon Johnson a second term. Here’s how we work, how we handle the evidence, and how to reach us.
An independent citizen research project about the February 23, 2027 Chicago mayoral election. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or coordinating with any candidate, campaign, or political party. Nobody pays for placement here; no candidate content is sponsored.
The site’s positioning is simple: a transparent, continuously updated Chicago election research desk with a clear point of view. The advocacy is more persuasive when visitors can inspect the evidence rather than being asked to accept the conclusion — so the evidence is sourced, dated, and labeled.
Every page distinguishes three kinds of statements:
Verifiable numbers and events: vote counts, filing figures, poll results, audit totals. Sourced to primary documents (filings, audits, ordinances) or named reporting, with the source linked wherever practical.
Our reading of the evidence — for example, that a crowded challenger field structurally helps an incumbent. Reasonable people can look at the same facts and disagree.
The site’s point of view: Johnson shouldn’t get four more years. Stated as opinion, never dressed up as fact.
Sourcing standards. We prefer primary sources (government filings, audits, ordinances, roll calls). Where we rely on secondary or advocacy sources, we say so. Figures we could not independently verify are flagged as provisional. Candidate positions come from campaign sites, interviews, and questionnaires — and “no stated position found” means exactly that, not an inference.
Review cadence. Factual claims are re-checked against sources monthly through the election. Fundraising figures update with each quarterly filing. Pages carry “last verified” dates so you can see how fresh a number is.
Corrections. If you spot an error — a wrong number, a dead link, a mischaracterized vote — tell us below. Verified corrections are published promptly and noted where the claim appeared.
Corrections, tips, dead links, or questions about sourcing. We read everything; we can’t reply to everything.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party, candidate, or campaign.
